The ISSO will lead cybersecurity compliance efforts, including guiding Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and coordinating the implementation of security controls. They will collaborate with technical teams to collect evidence and documentation necessary to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO).

V2X is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead cybersecurity compliance efforts supporting the redesign and migration of technical systems and the achievement of an Authority to Operate (ATO).
Education / Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• IAT II certification (Security+ or better) required.
• Eligibility to Obtain and Maintain a Public Trust/NACI Clearance required.
Experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in cybersecurity required, including a solid understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Demonstrated experience supporting the RMF process from initiation through completion and successfully achieving an Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Experience working with eMASS, cybersecurity compliance controls, and RMF Revision 5 requirements, preferred.
Skills and Technology
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environments, including standard cloud services and security control inheritance concepts.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity compliance requirements and the ability to evaluate and document how security controls are implemented within technical environments.
• Proficiency in developing clear, concise policy documents, compliance documentation, and supporting security artifacts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and compliance information for a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with system engineers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, and other project stakeholders throughout the RMF and ATO process.
