Industrial Energy Advisor

Leidos seeks an Industrial Energy Advisor to both market and support energy-efficiency programs that promote energy efficiency projects at large industrial facilities near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

A person in this position will require the ability to identify efficiency opportunities, calculate energy savings, maintain customer relationships, and deliver presentations. The Energy Advisor will work closely with facility managers, facility and manufacturing engineers, contractors, suppliers, and energy engineers to encourage energy efficiency practices in their facilities. The successful candidate should have basic general knowledge of building systems, industrial systems, construction practices, and/or the energy efficiency industry. They must be highly motivated, well organized, self-starting, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and work well in a team setting. Candidates will need to have a home office to conduct work.

** This role is remote, but the candidate MUST live within commuting distance to Milwaukee **

Qualifications:

• Must be able to utilize initiative to develop relationships with customers and vendors, to keep up to date and demonstrate knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and practices in demand side management.
• It is critical that productivity, accuracy, organization and effective communication be demonstrated in performance of work.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license and physical ability to perform field verification of pre and post installation of energy efficiency measures.
• It is preferred that the candidate has experience working directly for an industrial manufacturer (not as a consultant, 3rd party or in a research context).

Education/Experience:

• Four-year technical degree (an engineering degree is preferred) and at least 5 + years of relevant experience with industrial manufacturing environments and energy management is desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communications are essential.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000 depending on experience
