The IC (Independent Contractor) Compliance Specialist role is responsible for the processing, compliance review, data entry, and filing of Independent Contractor records, in support of an efficient and compliant field operation. The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills. This position serves as the primary

communicator between our internal field operations staff and outside inquiries in relation to current and potential Independent Contractor’s contracting and compliance. A sense of commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to work well in a team environment are ideal for this position. Superior communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude are critical to succeed in this role.

• Maintain the integrity of departmental records through timely and accurate processing of all required paperwork.
• Review daily requests to set up new Independent Contractors by reviewing incoming contracts and accompanying required documentation for compliance to company and legal standards.
• Run and analyze MVR reports and background checks for potential and existing independent contractors.
• Follow up with Operations Managers for missing or illegible contracting paperwork.
• Assist the Operations team with contracting issues and/or questions regarding the contracting processes.
• Enter required Independent Contractor data into industry specific software program.
• Assign vendor numbers to new Independent Contractors and communicate the assignment to the Operations team.
• Handle responses to Independent Contractor inquiries regarding driver opportunities, contracting requirements, and other driver related issues.
• Prepare reports and conduct analysis as requested.
• Responsible for the maintenance of all independent contractor files, including daily filing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be extremely detail oriented.
• Highly proficient computer skills must be able to toggle between multiple screens.
• Ability to understand the Independent Contractor relationship.
• Must be able to work with repetitive details and with routine responsibilities.
• Must have customer service and/or personnel support experience.
• Must be able to establish a high level of trust and credibility in the organization.
• Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to demonstrate quantitative and analytical skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all levels of the
• organization.
• Software programs including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Outlook and database software.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree and/or bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred.
• 2-5 years of previous administrative, legal, and/or compliance related experience required.
• Compliance and/or legal certificates preferred.

Shift Days: Monday-Friday

Shift Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm (Available to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays preferred.)

Pay Rate: up to $19.00 per hour (Dependent upon experience level.)
