Overview

BRMi is seeking a HR Data Integration Consultant to support advanced data development and modernization efforts within our HR analytics environment. This role will focus on developing complex queries and database objects across SQL Server and Oracle platforms, with a strong emphasis on sourcing, transforming, and validating Oracle HCM data to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and historical data needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects across SQL Server and Oracle environments.
  • Support HR data modernization initiatives by translating legacy SQL Server-based logic and reporting to Oracle HCM-sourced data.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data structures, transformations, and integration processes to support reporting, analytics, and downstream systems.
  • Utilize Oracle Analytics tools (BI Publisher, BICC) to extract, validate, and analyze Oracle HCM data.
  • Analyze Oracle HCM frontend functionality and backend data models to ensure accurate reporting and data usage.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and analytics partners to gather requirements and define data solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including:
    • Data definitions
    • Business rules
    • Source-to-target mappings
    • Data lineage documentation
    • Governance artifacts
  • Perform data quality analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across multiple HR systems.
  • Investigate and resolve cross-system data issues and reporting discrepancies.
  • Support enterprise HR analytics, reporting, and historical data management initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL development experience, including:
    • Complex joins
    • Analytical/window functions
    • Query tuning and performance optimization
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • SQL Server
    • Oracle SQL
  • Strong experience working with Oracle HCM Cloud, including:
    • Core data structures
    • Functional configuration concepts
    • Reporting architecture
  • Experience with Oracle Analytics tools, including:
    • BI Publisher (BIP)
    • BICC
  • Experience supporting or modernizing data from legacy HR systems such as PeopleSoft.
  • Understanding of enterprise data warehousing concepts, including:
    • Fact tables
    • Historical data management
    • Dimensional modeling concepts
  • Experience producing technical documentation supporting data governance and data management initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently in a contractor environment and manage deliverables with minimal oversight.

Desired:

  • Experience integrating Oracle HCM data into Azure-based data platforms.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or related Azure data services.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and workforce reporting.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data governance programs.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale ERP or HRIS modernization initiatives.
