Job Description

We are looking for an HR Compliance Associate to support compliance operations by maintaining adherence to employment laws policies and regulatory requirements across a multi-state environment. This is an entry level role that plays a key supporting function assisting with day-to-day compliance administration, regulatory reporting, compliance training, coordination and policy support while building foundational expertise under the guidance of the HCM Compliance Manager. This position will be a full-time contract and fully remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining current knowledge of employment laws regulations and best practices and support communication of updates to the compliance team

  • Support identification of training requirements for state specific and federal compliance mandates and assist with coordination through the LMS

  • Assist HR policy and process owners in maintaining alignment of HR policies with employment and labor laws and support updates to employee materials and manuals

  • Assist in preparing and filing compliance reports including AAP Certification EEO 1 and CA Pay Data Reports

  • Support compliance software administration and maintain accuracy of updates within internal systems

  • Complete daily HRIS administration tasks

  • Support preparation and filing of monthly quarterly and annual compliance reports across federal state and local requirements

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in business HR legal or related field or equivalent experience or 2 years of experience in HR compliance or related role

  • Foundational knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws including FLSA FMLA ADA and Title VII

  • Experience collecting organizing and preparing data for reporting

  • Proficiency with Office365 including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to conduct research compile information and identify reliable sources

  • Self motivated and eager to learn within HR compliance

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and support cross functional projects

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with employee handbooks HR policies or employment documentation

  • Comfort interpreting contract or legal language

  • Experience with HRIS platforms or compliance software

  • Experience working in a multi-state environment

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor

$50,000 - $55,000 per year

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
