As a worldwide leader in the tech space, How-To Geek operates at a rapid pace and we are currently looking for Feature Writers to join our team—specifically those who can explain complex topics in a clear, engaging, and reader-friendly way.

We are actively recruiting writers with deep hands-on expertise and enthusiasm in one or more of the following core verticals:

1. PC Hardware: Networking, Storage, NAS, Components, Peripherals
2. Operating Systems: Linux, Windows
3. Software: Programming, Applications
4. Mobile: Android, iPhone, Carriers
5. New Tech: Hobbies, Smart Home, Homelab, Single-Board Computers, Cutting Edge
6. Streaming: Streaming Content, Streaming Platforms, Audio/Visual

Your Responsibilities

• Write original, well-researched feature articles, how-tos, and tutorials across our core coverage verticals.
• Break down technical topics into actionable guides that are practical and easy for readers to follow.
• Pitch article ideas that are engaging and aligned with the interests of our enthusiast audience.
• Choose article topics selected from a topic pool and coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback.
• Follow How-To Geek’s general Editorial Guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
• Input work into our in-house CMS according to editorial guidelines and produce articles in a timely manner.

Experience and Skills

• Relevant experience writing and editing technology content in the English language.
• Strong familiarity with one or more of our core coverage areas (PC Hardware, Operating Systems, Software, Mobile, New Tech, or Streaming).
• Ability to work reliably within a US time zone.
• Proficiency with SEO practices and experience using a custom CMS.
