Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working with financial data, reconciliations, and bookkeeping processes? We’re looking for a Home-Based Accounting Technician to join our DCX team. In this role, you will support our partner’s accounting operations by managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, processing payroll-related tasks, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial transactions while contributing to the business's overall success.   • Accounting Expertise: Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and regulatory compliance.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Compute charges, prepaid expenses, and preliminary tax entries

  • Prepare cheques, e-transfers, and EFT payments

  • Reconcile records of bank transactions

  • Perform data entry and analysis

  • Prepare month-end reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, analysis, and discrepancy report

  • Maintain records of accounts receivable and payable, as well as ledgers and journals

  • Assist with payroll calculations

  • Submit Payroll Taxes

  • Submit GST installments to the CRA

  • Remit and file T4 slips

  • Analyze and record business transactions and period-end adjustments

  • Prepare basic financial statements

  • Compute and record depreciation for bookkeeping and tax purposes

  • Cost out (calculate cost of) and record inventory

  • Implement internal controls to protect company assets

  • Perform other bookkeeping duties

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 

  • Experience: 3-5 years of Bookkeeping experience

  • Language Proficiency: Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills. 

  • Working schedule: Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours 

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online.

    • Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc. 

    • Experience working with the Canada Revenue Agency.

  • Salary Range: PHP 35,000 - 40,000

  • Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA)
