Position Summary

The Health Insurance Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring individual and group life, accident, and health insurance products comply with applicable state laws. The Analyst reviews and analyzes new laws, regulations, and Department of Insurance (DOI) bulletins, identifies the impact on filed, and non-filed product forms, and drafts new, corrected, or amended documents to bring products into compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze regulatory changes, identify impacts to group life, accident, and other supplemental health insurance products, and revise policy forms to bring them into compliance with new or revised regulations.
  • Review and analyze new laws, regulations, and DOI bulletins, and identify the company-specific filed and non-filed product forms that are impacted, if any.
  • Draft new, corrected, or amended documents as necessary to comply with new legislation and regulations.
  • Set up SERFF drafts, upload all necessary information, submit filings, and handle objections from insurance departments.
  • Follow a recurring process for the review and update of provision language.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (SharePoint experience is a must).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
