Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Venture Building Funds/Principal to shape the investment strategy of Bosch Business Innovations and to steer the financial performance of our global venture building.

In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for allocating our first venture building fund of €200M across different special purpose vehicles with different partners (LPs and service providers) as well as direct investment activities for venture building according to our overall investment theses.

If you want to shape a virtual fund of funds for venture building within a large enterprise, combining your investment experience with an entrepreneurial mindset, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the industry!

Your Responsibilities

  • Shape Our Investment Strategy: Own the financial perspective in the definition and maintenance of the overall investment theses of our venture building fund in alignment with our Head of Strategy and with Corporate Strategy.

  • Analyze And Pre-Select Opportunities: Develop investment scenarios and recommendations for capital allocation across different risk, return, and strategic objectives. Conduct financial and commercial due diligence of our General Partners (mostly Venture Studios) for potential Special Purpose Vehicles, conduct interviews, perform financial modelling, be part of the negotiating team and prepare investment decisions/memorandums about final asset allocations in alignment with our Head of Partnering/Ecosystems.

  • Dealmaking: Structure complex deals globally, such as special purpose vehicles, with rigor and strategic foresight. Develop recommendations together with Corporate Legal, Tax, Compliance and with external advisors for LP-commitments, side letters and strategic collaboration agreements.

  • Steer our Portfolio: Develop fund portfolio construction and capital allocation frameworks to maximize the financial and strategic return of our global venture building funds. Design and implement robust financial KPI’s. Systematically track performance to proactively mitigate financial risks and capitalize on growth opportunities. Establish processes and steering mechanisms to manage and optimize our growing portfolio.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Investment Leader: Several years of experience in investment management, venture capital, corporate venturing, corporate finance or a comparable environment. Fund of Fund experience is desired and a plus.

  • Strategic Investor: Strong understanding of investment strategies, portfolio management, capital allocation and financial deal structures.

  • Builder Mentality: Combines strategic thinking and financial rigor with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.

  • Trusted Partner: Able to turn complex financial topics into clear recommendations and confidently engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Global Collaborator: Experienced in international, cross-functional environments and comfortable navigating both corporate and entrepreneurial settings.

  • Academic & Language Foundation: Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a comparable discipline and business fluency in English; German is a plus.
