The Role

We are looking for a Head of Performance Creative to own our paid creative strategy end to end: ideation, briefing, production, testing, and iteration. You will build the system that turns consumer insight into winning ads — and keep that system getting faster and smarter over time.

You grew up in paid media. You know what makes someone stop scrolling, read the next line, and buy. You have studied thousands of ads — what worked, what flopped, and why — and you have developed real conviction about the craft.

You also understand that creative is the most underleveraged variable in paid performance. Not the audience. Not the bid. The creative.

What You Will Do

Performance Creative Strategy Own the creative strategy across all paid channels — Meta, TikTok, YouTube, programmatic, and wherever the next high-ROI channel emerges. You know how to structure a test, read the signal, and scale what is working. You do not wait for data to tell you what to test next. You already have a hypothesis.

Brief Writing & Insight Mining You write briefs that give editors and creators a clear target. You mine insight from reviews, support tickets, social comments, competitor ads, and anywhere real people talk about real problems. You know how to turn a one-star review into a winning hook.

Creative Testing & Iteration Build and run a structured testing framework across hooks, formats, offers, and angles. Own the loop between performance data and creative output. Know when to kill something and when to double down. Keep the machine learning.

Video-First Production Oversee the creative studio for performance content including: VSLs, short-form social ads, UGC-style content, testimonials, and hybrid formats. Know how to direct a shoot and how to direct an edit. Understand the difference between a video that looks good and a video that converts.

Landing Page & Funnel Creative Own the creative expression from ad to landing page. Write copy, design concepts, and test messaging across the full funnel.

Team & Freelancer Management Build and manage a team of editors, writers, and creators. Develop strong freelancer and UGC creator relationships. Set a high bar. Give clear direction. Get great work out of people without slowing everything down.

AI & Creative Infrastructure You use AI to move faster and test more — not to replace creative judgment. You have already built workflows using AI tools for script generation, concept iteration, and asset production. You know where AI helps and where it gets in the way.

Who You Are

7+ years in performance creative, growth marketing, or paid social with a track record of building winning creative at scale. You have worked hands-on in ad accounts — or closely enough with media buyers that you understand what the data is saying and what to do about it.

You think in hooks. You obsess over thumbstop rate, hold rate, CTR, and CVR — and you know those metrics do not tell the whole story. You balance creative conviction with data-driven iteration.

You have managed or led a creative function and can show what that team produced and what it drove. You have a reel or portfolio that demonstrates both volume and results.

Supplement or health/wellness experience is a strong differentiator. If you have scaled a DTC brand from early-stage through growth using paid creative, that is exactly the background we are looking for.
