We are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead and expand strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing long-term strategic relationships, and positioning Imagene's AI-powered solutions as a critical enabler of drug development, translational research, precision medicine, and commercial programs.

The successful candidate will work closely with pharmaceutical and biotech partners across Translational Medicine, Precision Medicine, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Research functions, while collaborating internally with Medical Affairs, Product, Operations, and Scientific teams to advance client programs and maximize the impact of Imagene's technology platform.



Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with R&D, translational medicine, precision medicine, and commercial leaders within pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive stakeholder mapping, networking, and targeted outreach.
  • Position Imagene's AI-powered digital pathology and multimodal solutions to address client research, clinical development, and commercialization objectives.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales processes, navigating multiple stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers across client organizations.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets while supporting broader strategic growth objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Operations, Medical Affairs, Product Management, and Scientific teams to ensure successful execution of client initiatives.
  • Monitor account performance and strategic objectives, providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Contribute market insights and client feedback to support the evolution of Imagene's oncology and precision medicine portfolio.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, regulatory developments, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within oncology, diagnostics, and AI-driven healthcare.
  • Understand scientific and clinical challenges faced by pharmaceutical clients and develop tailored AI-driven solutions to address them.
  • Drive and support Companion Diagnostic (CDx) programs within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to maximize the value and adoption of Imagene's product portfolio.
  • Travel approximately 15–40% domestically and internationally to attend industry conferences, client meetings, and partnership engagements.

Requirements

  • Over 7 years of experience in Business Development and Sales in the Life Sciences sector (Pharma / Biotech)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in building and launching a SaaS, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech product/service
  • An extensive network of pharma/ biopharma partners in Oncology with a developed acumen in the AI digital pathology space
  • Deep relationships with pharmaceutical stakeholders
  • Exceptional account management, articulation of issues and an ability to navigate a wide range of stakeholders to solve problems
  • Proven ability to navigate multi-faceted client organizations with repeated success
  • Ability to set strategies and tactics that are aggressive, but realizable
