Job Description

Group People Director

Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $150,000 USD

What is unique about us?

Omegro is an international buy-and-grow acquirer of software companies looking for a permanent and safe home to continue their legacy and provide long-term sustainable growth for their people, their businesses, and their stakeholders.

As a people-first organisation, we believe in liberating the potential in our businesses and our people. We foster a culture of collaboration, learning, curiosity and best-practice sharing, underpinned by our values of humble, hungry and smart. You’ll enjoy being part of our team if you find joy in building trusted relationships, creating clarity in growth and ambiguous environments, taking an AI-first approach to improving ways of working, and helping leaders and teams grow through change.

Where you’ll make an impact

This is a strategic, coaching and senior advisory role within a portfolio of businesses, however as we buy businesses, integrate them and help them grow, it is suited to individuals who enjoy hands on application of their HR skills over the full generalist skillset. You will partner with local People (HR) Partners, General Managers and Group leadership teams to translate strategy into practical plans, scalable frameworks and high-impact initiatives that support growth, culture, leadership capability and successful business acquisitions. The work requires resilience, commercial judgement, strong relationship-building, an AI-enabled mindset, and the ability to bring structure, momentum and care to complex, changing environments.

You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while connecting with the wider Omegro team globally, including opportunities for learning, development and travel.

Who will I report to?

Chief People Officer

What will you bring?

You’ll thrive here if you are comfortable working without a fixed playbook, can build trust quickly across autonomous businesses, enjoy turning complexity into clear, practical action, and love performing a generalist HR work scope, where you can practically apply your skills, while also coaching and developing others.

Key attributes:

  • Have achieved tertiary qualifications / certification in Human Resources, organisational psychology, business or a related discipline.
  • Apply strong knowledge of employment law, industrial relations, HR compliance and risk management across North America predominately, however knowledge other countries such as New Zealand, Singapore and India would be advantageous.
  • Have experience (minimum of 10 years) in a senior People (HR) role, ideally within a software, technology or acquisitive environment.
  • Be motivated by and live our values, humble, hungry and smart.
  • Build trusted and inclusive relationships, facilitate meaningful conversations, lead forums, share best practice and create alignment across autonomous businesses.
  • Operate with self-motivation, grit, maturity, resilience and flexibility across time zones, priorities and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Build leadership capability through coaching, succession planning, talent management, career planning, performance enablement and retention strategies.
  • Demonstrated M&A experience, including due diligence and integration activities.
  • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, structural change, change management and business transformation with resilience, judgement and a steady presence.
  • The role can be performed flexibly and remotely from the USA, so you’ll need to be comfortable building relationships intentionally, staying connected across locations and creating momentum without relying on proximity.
  • Domestic and international travel will be required, along with flexibility to connect with colleagues across North America, APAC and Europe regions.

To Apply

If you are excited by the opportunity to build trusted relationships, create clarity through change and help shape growth practices across a people-first portfolio of businesses, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome applicants with a wide range of experiences and perspectives. We hire based on qualifications and job-related criteria and do not discriminate on legally protected grounds. Accommodations are available throughout the recruitment process upon request.

Please submit a Resume, including a Cover Letter (no longer than one page long) highlighting your suitability to the above-mentioned key attributes.
