Make the extraordinary, everlasting - with us.

At EC, we create extraordinary experiences for global brands - and behind that sits a business that must be robust, responsible and well-governed. Reporting into the Head of Sustainability, as Group Compliance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening how we operate, embedding best-in-class compliance practices that support smart, sustainable growth.

This is a high-impact opportunity to build and evolve a modern compliance framework in a dynamic, project-led environment - with the flexibility to work remotely and shape the role around a 3 - 4 day working week.

About the Role

The Group Compliance Manager is responsible for leading EC’s compliance and risk agenda across the business. You will oversee regulatory frameworks, data protection, insurance, and operational compliance systems, ensuring a joined-up, pragmatic approach that works in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the group, you will embed compliance into day-to-day operations while supporting long-term business objectives and international growth.

This role is designed as a part-time position (3-4 days per week) and can be fully remote, with occasional flexibility for key in-person engagement if required.

Who you are

  • You bring strong experience in compliance, risk or governance roles within complex, fast-paced environments

  • You take a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach - balancing rigour with commercial understanding

  • You are confident working autonomously and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders

  • You are highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • You communicate clearly and effectively, making complex topics accessible and actionable

  • You are proactive, resilient and confident, challenging where needed to improve outcomes

Experience & qualifications

  • Proven experience in compliance, risk management or governance roles

  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks and business compliance requirements

  • Demonstrable experience managing or advising on IR35 / contractor compliance

  • Experience with ISO standards and audits

  • Working knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements

  • Experience managing insurance policies and claims processes

  • Awareness of transport compliance and operator licence (O-Licence) requirements (desirable, not essential - training can be provided)

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure clear ownership of policies across the business, with accountability for ongoing maintenance and communication

  • Oversee the rollout and communication of policy updates, ensuring changes are clearly understood and embedded in day-to-day operations

  • Maintain and evolve key ethical compliance frameworks, including anti-bribery and corruption and whistleblowing

Transport & Operator Licence (O-Licence) Compliance

  • Provide oversight of EC’s operator licence (O-Licence) compliance, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are understood, maintained and appropriately monitored

  • Attend and contribute to transport compliance meetings, supporting the Transport Manager in maintaining robust and auditable processes

  • Ensure effective governance around driver records, vehicle compliance and transport documentation, with clear visibility of risks and actions

  • Evolve and embed a forward-looking NCR approach that supports both compliance and continuous improvement across the business

  • Create a collaborative framework for identifying, sharing and discussing non-conformances, encouraging openness and accountability across teams
