Grants Proposal Coordinator

Overview

As part of the Office of Grants Management, the Pre-Award Coordinator supports Carle Health System's externally funded programs by providing pre- and post-award sponsored project support to ensure compliance with OMB 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance as well as compliance with grant and institution specific requirements. This individual is primarily responsible for administration of various activities associated with the submission of externally sponsored awards in collaboration with funding agencies, grantee departments, program directors, and leadership. This position will utilize professional judgment, independence, and discretion to serve as a grants point of contact for Carle under guidance from the Executive Director of Grants Administration. Primary responsibilities include assisting grantee departments with the submission and management of their externally funded programs and accounts, as well as working with Carle's Office of Grants Management, leadership and staff to develop and maintain dynamic record-keeping and reporting systems for sponsored project data, enabling strategic planning and growth for Carle's sponsored programs.

Responsibilities

Designated official to submit grant proposals to external sponsors on behalf of Carle Health (including applications for new awards, renewals, continuations, supplements and extensions) Interpret agency guidelines and regulations for funding opportunities with federal and private sponsors and advise applicant departments on requirements, terms, and conditions of submitting an application Review proposal budget and narrative and confirm institutional commitments and operational feasibility Prepare and assist with administrative information and requirements Prepare and assist with proposal and progress report documents including budget development and justification, biosketches, other support, letters of support, and other required documentation Review and maintain various reports to effectively monitor the award lifecycle and monitor financial activity for grant accounts to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and that all transactions comply with project budgets and agreements Review financial reports and analyses to assist program directors with the administration and development of their sponsored programs. Assis the program directors when budget revisions or award amendments are needed Represent Carle Health during internal and external audits, in collaboration with Carle’s Accounting and Compliance units Work collaboratively as a member of the Office of Grants Management to improve tracking and reporting of grant proposals and awards. Assist with writing grant policies, operational procedures, and training. Participate in national meetings and conferences related to grants accounting and financial administration.

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $28.09per hour - $46.91per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
