Summary:

The Government Insuring Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end government insuring process for FHA and VA loans. The role involves validating loan information, preparing and submitting insuring packages through FHA Connection and VA WebLGY, resolving conditions, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate loan insuring in compliance with investor and agency guidelines.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Validate loan information and eligibility using FHA Connection and VA WebLGY.

  • Perform accurate loan data entry into the Loan Origination System (LOS) and government portals.

  • Upload required loan documents and supporting documentation into applicable systems.

  • Prepare and submit FHA and VA insurance/guaranty applications.

  • Verify successful submission and obtain insurance/guaranty confirmations.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, title companies, and other stakeholders to obtain missing or corrected documentation.

  • Review and resolve outstanding conditions to ensure loans are eligible for insuring.

  • Update loan status, milestones, and notes in Encompass LOS.

  • Meet established turnaround times (TATs), quality standards, and productivity targets.

  • Escalate complex issues or exceptions to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University.

  • 1–2 years of experience in in Government Insuring.

  • Hands-on experience with FHA Connection and/or VA WebLGY

  • Working knowledge of Encompass LOS.

  • Understanding of FHA and VA loan insuring guidelines and documentation requirements.

  • Experience coordinating with title companies and internal mortgage operations teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple loans while meeting SLAs and quality standards.

Problems and issues faced are general, and require interpretation and some analysis of company  policies and procedures to understand and resolve.
