AI Summary

The Global Training Content Creation Manager is responsible for defining and executing the global educational content strategy while personally producing high-impact learning assets. This role also involves managing the LMS platform, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and leading the content team to ensure alignment with business goals.

At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This role can be done from home

Building the world’s leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices around the globe. This role can be done from any of our offices across the United States or remotely from home. It’s about impact, not location.

The Global Training Content Creation Manager owns the creation, quality, and delivery of world-class training and educational content for a global organization. This role will set and drive the educational content strategy while personally building high-impact learning assets. This role is equal parts storyteller, instructional designer, producer, and platform owner — someone who can move from a blank page to a polished, published module and rally cross-functional partners around a clear learning vision.

Managers on the Sonos Global Education Team will lead with transparency, empathy, and creativity. They will create a working environment that fosters diversity of perspectives while acting as a group to achieve goals.

What You’ll Do:

Content Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and drive the global educational content strategy, ensuring alignment with business and regional sales priorities.

  • Operate as a player/coach — personally producing flagship assets while guiding and elevating the work of the team.

  • Manage one direct report starting in October, with a two-year mandate to grow and structure the content team.

Platform & Tools Ownership

  • Own and administer our LMS platform(s): configuration, content publishing, user experience, and ongoing optimization.

  • Continuously research, evaluate, and recommend new learning tools and technologies beyond the current stack.

  • Build and manage SCORM-compliant packages and ensure content interoperability across platforms.

Content Creation & Production

  • Build training modules, slide presentations, and educational assets from concept through to publication.

  • Collaborate on video production of educational assets

  • Apply strong graphic design skills to produce polished, on-brand learning materials.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with key stakeholders from sales and marketing to develop educational tools that contribute to business success

  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure content is relevant, localized, and enablement-ready.

  • Work with Global Brand Marketing to maintain brand consistency and align messaging across educational assets.

Execution & Delivery

  • Deliver against deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality.

  • Respond quickly to ad hoc educational requests, reprioritizing and turning work around on short notice.

  • Maintain extreme attention to detail across every asset, from script to final render.

  • Capture and analyze audience feedback to ensure content is achieving desired effects.

  • Keep up with industry trends and technology to ensure that the team is educating in the best way possible.

  • Continue to build on the legacy of “best in class” training moments that Sonos has delivered over the last 15 years.
