ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Global Financial Controller to lead the accounting function for Prime6 Brands and its operating entities. This is a new, high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO. You will own the monthly close process end to end, serve as the primary point of contact for our external auditors and tax preparers, and build the accounting infrastructure that scales with the business.

The right candidate combines deep US GAAP expertise with real experience managing external audits, and is comfortable operating across a multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-standard environment spanning US GAAP and German HGB. English is the company working language across all entities and time zones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting Leadership

  • Lead and manage the accounting function across Primal Harvest LLC, Prime Consumer Brands LLC, and Prime6 Brands GmbH
  • Own the monthly close process end to end, including close calendar, task sequencing, reconciliations, and timely delivery of financial statements
  • Build, mentor, and develop the accounting team, setting standards for accuracy, timeliness, and documentation
  • Maintain and continuously improve accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across all entities
  • Own the chart of accounts, GL structure, and consolidation logic in partnership with the finance systems team

External Audit & Tax

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors (BDO) across the annual audit cycle, including planning, fieldwork, and resolution of open items
  • Prepare and review audit support schedules, management representation letters, and supporting documentation for the FY audit package
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external tax preparers (PwC) on US federal, state, and international tax matters
  • Coordinate responses to auditor and tax preparer data requests, ensuring timely and accurate turnaround
  • Manage relationships with German audit and tax advisors (HKS or equivalent) to support Prime6 Brands GmbH statutory reporting

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements under US GAAP, with oversight of HGB statutory reporting for the German entity
  • Own technical accounting positions and memos for significant or judgmental transactions
  • Ensure compliance with lender covenants and credit agreement reporting requirements
  • Maintain internal controls documentation and support control testing and remediation efforts
  • Support the CFO on board, investor, and PE sponsor (WM Partners) reporting deliverables

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with the CFO on quality of earnings, financial due diligence, and other sponsor-driven workstreams
  • Work closely with the finance systems and FP&A functions to ensure clean, audit-ready data across NetSuite and adjacent systems
  • Collaborate with legal, treasury, and operations on matters with accounting or reporting implications
  • Represent the accounting function in lender, insurance, and other external diligence processes as needed

  • Direct experience managing external audits, including serving as the primary company contact for the audit firm
  • Experience running or directly overseeing the monthly close process
  • Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
