GCP Data Engineer

You will be:

• developing and maintaining Lakehouse Gold and Platinum layers,
• building and optimizing data transformation workflows using dbt and PySpark,
• designing, scheduling, and monitoring data pipelines with Airflow,
• improving BigQuery performance and supporting FinOps optimization initiatives,
• managing infrastructure as code using Terraform,
• implementing and maintaining CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions,
• supporting cloud security and data governance practices, including IAM and DLP,
• working with Dataplex for data management and governance,
• collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Your profile:

• hands-on experience with dbt,
• experience with Apache Airflow workflow orchestration,
• srong programming skills in Python,
• experience with PySpark-based data processing,
• practical experience with BigQuery,
• experience designing and developing data lakehouse solutions,
• knowledge of medallion architecture concepts,
• experience with performance and cost optimization in BigQuery,
• experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD implementation,
• experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform,
• understanding of data security concepts including IAM, RBAC/ABAC, policy tagging, and DLP,
• familiarity with data governance concepts, metadata management, and data lineage,
• experience participating in code reviews and establishing engineering standards,
• ability to provide technical consulting and collaborate with cross-functional teams,
• strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• experience working in enterprise-scale data platforms,
• experience in regulated environments such as financial services,
• knowledge of cloud data governance best practices,
• experience with modern Lakehouse architectures.
