GAMURS Group is seeking versatile and passionate writers who can produce timely, well-considered, and engaging articles for our brands. The successful candidates will become part of a small team focused on producing both news and guides, although there will be a heavy emphasis on guide work. Candidates will need a high standard of written English, but the position is fully remote, so is open to applicants from all regions.

We are very eager to hear from candidates who have specific areas of gaming that they are extremely passionate about. This could include gacha games, cozy games, animal-capture titles, Double A games, etc. We want to hear from people who feel like they could build out a strong niche and know what it takes to engage audiences in those areas.

  • Monitor news cycles and pitch either breaking news or appropriate short-form features that will provide a unique angle of coverage.
  • Write articles based on pitches from the editorial staff.
  • Put the factual accuracy of reporting front and center in your work.
  • Be passionate and communicative with other staff.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with WordPress, Trello, Slack, and other common systems and programs used in the industry.

  • A genuine curiosity for how players are approaching games, and a drive to provide quality content that keeps them engaged with gaming as a hobby.
  • A desire to immerse themselves in the communities of the games they cover, and learn to predict their needs and wants when it comes to coverage and tools.
