We’re looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to support our DX team at Atlassian. Someone who’s as comfortable diving into a Ruby on Rails codebase and raw SQL as they are crafting thoughtful, accessible UI in React and TailwindCSS. You’ll work end‑to‑end on features: from shaping vague problem statements with product and design, to shipping high‑quality code, to measuring impact and iterating quickly.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Build REST APIs that power core customer experiences

• Build and ship features and capabilities daily in a highly scalable, cross-geo distributed environment.

• Focus on backend-heavy fullstack development, building robust REST APIs while contributing to customer-facing React components.

Pay Ranges

In The Americas, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $150,300 - $196,225

Zone B: $135,270 - $176,603

Zone C: $124,749 - $162,867

Qualifications

Your background:

• 3+ years experience with one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Rails is required.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).

• Experience performing platform integrations using REST.

• A background in working with GIT in a collaborative team setting.

• Familiarity with server technologies (NPM, Docker, NGINX, Express/Node).

• A love for working collaboratively on a team with varied strengths.

• Experience working with an enterprise content management system

• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS
