Full Stack Engineer (React.js, Python)

About the Role

We are looking for React/Python engineers to join our team and ship production features across the full stack. You will work day to day inside the client's engineering team, so you need to ramp up fast, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your work. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ship features end to end, from Postgres schema and Python API to React UI, on a healthcare engagement platform used by health plans and digital health companies.
  

• Build campaign and journey tooling: audience segmentation, message scheduling, templates, and reporting dashboards.
  

• Develop and maintain backend services, background jobs, and third-party integrations (email/SMS providers, client data feeds).
  

• Work on AI-powered personalization features, integrating LLM APIs into production workflows.
  

• Design schemas and write efficient queries for large member datasets in PostgreSQL.
  

• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot services on AWS and Heroku.
  

• Handle sensitive health data responsibly, following HIPAA-aligned security and privacy practices.
  

• Work as part of the client's team: standups, code reviews, planning, and written updates.
  

Qualifications

Must have

• 3+ years of professional experience building production web applications.
  

• Strong Python backend experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI (name the client's framework once you know it).
  

• Strong React experience with modern JavaScript (hooks, state management, API integration).
  

• Solid PostgreSQL skills: schema design, migrations, query optimization.
  

• Experience deploying and running applications on AWS or a similar cloud platform.
  

• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
  

• A habit of testing your code (pytest, Jest, or similar).
  

• Clear written and spoken English, and being comfortable working directly with a client team.
  

• Able to overlap with US Eastern working hours for 4-5 hours a day.
  

Nice to have

• TypeScript.
  

• Heroku.
  

• Healthcare or other regulated-data experience (HIPAA, PHI, SOC 2).
  

• Background job and queue systems (Celery, RQ, SQS).
  

• Messaging integrations (Twilio, SendGrid, or similar).
  

• Experience building with LLM APIs.
  

• CI/CD and Docker.
  

• Prior staff-augmentation or consulting experience.
