The role involves writing short passages (two to four paragraphs) for the Verbal Reasoning section of the UCAT, along with creating corresponding multiple-choice questions, answers, and full explanations for each passage.
Medify is recruiting enthusiastic and meticulous graduates with writing experience to write multiple choice questions on a flexible freelance basis.
The Role
In this role, you will:
- Write short passages (two to four paragraphs each) for the Verbal Reasoning section of the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT).
- Write questions, answers and full explanations to accompany each original passage.
- Research and write on a range of topics (from historical figures and events to trends in contemporary society and technology, with almost any topic considered).
Please note that this role does not require any previous experience with the UCAT or any knowledge of medicine or medical education.
Pay, Hours and Location
- This role will be paid at £20 per hour. For candidates with two years of paid professional writing experience in English, the rate will be £25 per hour.
- You must be available to work a minimum of 8 to 10 hours per month. Once trained, initial assignments will be small but may increase with further experience based on availability.
- This is a fully remote position for which you will need a computer and internet access.
Requirements
- Graduates with degrees in any field may apply.
- Sustained interest in at least one area of non-academic writing in English, such as creative or journalistic writing. Does not need to be paid or professional experience. We are looking for an active enthusiasm for writing and a facility for writing in different forms and styles.
- The ability to articulate thought processes clearly and effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail.

- Those who pass the trial will be trained to write test content to our specification, and commissioned for their first assignment.
