We’ve created a large percentage of iTunes Extras titles available on the App Store, developed the specification of and delivered the first Cross-Platform Extras titles, authored more than eight-thousand DVDs, two-thousand Blu-rays, as well as award-winning tablet and mobile apps. 

About the role 

Due to increased demand for localized content, Pixelogic is looking for experienced English into Polish SDH and subtitling translators and QCers to establish a professional, high-performing collaboration as part of our language services department, with the end goal of servicing our clients’ end-to-end projects.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, they must be able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads.

Due to the sensitive nature of delivery schedules, time flexibility is of paramount importance.

Requirements

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for all aspects of subtitle file creation, depending on assignment, whether Conforming, Translating, Adaptation, or Proofreading/QC of subtitle and SDH files, using Pixelogic's proprietary cloud-based subtitling software.
• Translate and adapt SDH cues, including speaker identification, sound effects, music cues, and other accessibility elements, while maintaining linguistic accuracy and readability.
• Leverage in-house glossary tools for consistency across products and follow client style guide specifications and SDH accessibility requirements.
• Handle rejections and make corrections in files.
• Remain current with industry trends and adapt to evolving client requirements.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content.

Requirements: 

• Native-level Polish and excellent English language skills.
• Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years of subtitle and/or SDH translation, adaptation, and/or proofreading/QC experience required.
• Demonstrated understanding of SDH conventions, including speaker IDs, sound effect descriptions, and accessibility-focused subtitle practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have demonstrated ability to accomplish work on a rigorous schedule (on-time delivery and flexible working hours).
• Ability to follow technical specifications, accessibility requirements, and style guides for multiple client content types.
