Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Freelance SEO & GEO Content Writer with a deep understanding of the French market.
In this role, you will do more than write traditional SEO blog posts. You will create high-quality, well-structured content designed to perform in both traditional search engines (e.g., Google) and AI-powered search environments (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity).
Your content should be clear, trustworthy, and user-focused. You understand search intent, answer real user questions, and create content that helps strengthen our brand visibility and business growth in France.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Research and write high-quality, practical, and engaging French-language blog posts (such as troubleshooting guides, product comparisons, and solution-oriented articles) that resonate with French consumers.
SEO & GEO Optimization
- Align content with user search intent and implement relevant keyword and SEO strategies.
- Structure articles using concise Q&As, clear H2/H3 hierarchies, bullet points, and tables to improve readability and optimize content for AI-powered search and answer systems.
Content Marketing & Conversion
- Write with a business-oriented mindset. Seamlessly integrate product value propositions into real-world use cases to help users make informed decisions without sounding overly promotional or sales-driven.
Localization & Compliance
- Ensure all content reflects French cultural nuances and is tailored to the expectations and needs of the local audience.
- Consider relevant local regulations and market-specific requirements (e.g., data privacy, housing and rental practices, and safety standards).
Qualifications & Requirements
Language Skills
- Native-level French with excellent grammar, natural phrasing, and a professional, trustworthy writing style.
● Good English skills for collaboration with our international team. Chinese language skills are a plus.
Proven Experience
- 1–2+ years of experience in SEO writing, content marketing, copywriting, or related fields.
- Experience in tech, e-commerce, smart home, or security-related industries is a strong plus.
SEO & GEO Awareness
- Strong understanding of modern SEO principles and an interest in emerging trends related to GEO.
- Understand how content should be structured to answer complex user queries clearly, accurately, and effectively.
Research & Fact-Checking
- Strong independent research skills. You rely on credible sources, data, and in-depth analysis rather than generic AI-generated content.
Remote Collaboration
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in an asynchronous environment. Proficient with common remote collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Google Workspace).
Analytics & SEO Tools
- Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC) to analyze content performance and organic visibility.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs or Semrush is a plus.
