You will own the revenue growth for a core product line by building and scaling the entire GTM engine from scratch. This involves running inside-sales motions, creating high-converting content, and managing outbound systems to drive deals.
This is an internal role at Weekday. Not a role by a client.
- Role type: Full time
- Location: Remote
- Working with: CEO and Cofounder
Weekday is an AI-native recruiting platform. We are backed by Y Combinator and Venture Highway (now General Catalyst). We have built the largest white collar talent database in India and have built tools to run outbound recruiting campaigns to them.
About the role
This is a growth role, not a strategy role. You will sit next to the CEO and own one number: revenue growth for one of our core product lines. Everything you do — every piece of content, every cold email, every demo call — either moves that number or it doesn't.
You won't be handed a playbook, a team, or a warmed-up pipeline. You'll build the GTM engine yourself: figure out which channels work, build them, and scale the ones that do. Some weeks that means writing content and tuning SEO/AEO so buyers find us. Other weeks it means running demo calls back-to-back and following up aggressively until deals close. If you think of yourself as either "a marketer" or "a salesperson" but not both, this isn't for you.
What you'll actually do
On any given day you might be:
- Running the full inside-sales motion — taking demo calls, handling objections, following up relentlessly, and closing
- Building content that actually converts: landing pages, comparison pages, blog posts, and material designed to rank on search and get picked up by AI answer engines (AEO)
- Setting up and running outbound systems — cold email, cold calls, LinkedIn, or whatever channel gets us in front of the right buyers
- Writing scripts and light automations to scale yourself — scraping lead lists, wiring up email sequences, building dashboards so you know what's working
- Testing a new growth channel, killing it fast if it doesn't work, and doubling down if it does
- Reporting your numbers honestly to the founders, including the ugly ones
You'll be measured on revenue — pipeline created and deals closed. Not on activity, not on slides.
What we're looking for
- You can sell. You're sharp on calls, you can run a demo that lands, and you follow up like the deal depends on it — because it does.
- You know your way around code and tech. You can write a script, wire up an API, or build your own tooling instead of waiting for an engineer.
- You've done growth before — content, SEO, cold email, cold calling, or any sales system you built and ran yourself — and you can show what it produced.
- You take ownership. When the number is yours, it moves — no follow-ups needed.
- You work hard and sweat the details. Conscientiousness isn't optional here; the follow-up you skip is the deal you lose.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity. No playbook, no hand-holding, no fully-defined role. The role is what you make it.
What you get
- Full ownership of a revenue line — you're not a cog in a GTM machine, you are the GTM machine
- A daily working relationship with the CEO and Cofounder, and a front-row seat to how a profitable, venture-backed startup grows
- The freedom to pick your channels and build your own systems — and the accountability that comes with it
- The kind of zero-to-one growth experience that's worth far more than the title
