AI Summary

The role involves managing communications, coordinating events, and ensuring critical projects stay on track. Daily tasks may include drafting emails, organizing travel, and preparing research tasks.

About Us

At moss, we build robots that scan trees! But at our core, we’re solving a much bigger problem: enabling autonomous farming.

We’re a small team of practical engineers with a long-term vision. We focus on real, messy, on-the-ground problems today, while working toward a future where autonomous farming helps make agriculture more sustainable and accessible.

If our mission aligns with how you like to work and think, we’d love to learn more about you.

The Role

Join us as the Founders' Office. We’re a small, fast-moving team of 6, building AI-powered tools that help growers manage millions of plants across thousands of acres.

You’ll work directly with the founding team across the full breadth of startup operations: manage both internal and external communications with team, investors and customers, coordinate exciting networking events, keep critical projects on track, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

On day to day, you might draft emails, organize travel, build decks, post jobs, and prepare for research tasks. We already use AI tools to automate whatever we can and we would encourage you to do the same. We’re looking for someone who’s curious, proactive, and excited to grow with us. Part-time candidates are welcome, remote-friendly with Pacific Time overlap.

What We're Looking For

  • Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast context-switching
  • Proficient with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) and eager to learn and use them to automate workflows and move faster
  • Interest in startups, agriculture, robotics, or AI is a plus but not required
  • Available to overlap with Pacific Time working hours

What You'll Do

  • Inbox & Communications: Triage the CEO’s email, draft replies, track follow-ups across customers, investors, and candidates
  • Investor Relations: Help prepare newsletters and updates, pitch materials, support fundraising logistics
  • Document & Deck Prep: Update customer-facing documents, meeting briefs, and internal documents
  • Social Media & Content: Manage content, schedule posts, repurpose newsletters and event recaps into social content
  • Calendar & Scheduling: Manage scheduling across multiple time zones, prep meeting briefs, resolve conflicts
  • Travel & Logistics: Book and coordinate frequent, including multi-week customer visit itineraries
  • Operations & Admin: Help coordinate with accountants and bookkeepers, track expenses and vendor invoices, manage insurance renewals
  • Recruiting: Post job listings, track candidate pipelines, schedule interviews
  • Events & Industry Outreach: Coordinate campus events; research and contact industry associations for demo opportunities
  • Research: Build contact list for outreach campaigns

How to Apply
