About the Engagement:
The Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI) seeks a Food & Nutrition Consultant to support the advancement of evidence-based food and nutrition policy in Senegal, including front-of-package labeling, sodium reduction, and taxation of sugar-sweetened beverages. Based in Senegal, the Consultant will provide technical advisory and analytical services that assist local partners in advancing food and nutrition policy priorities and strengthening engagement with government and non-government stakeholders.
This is an independent, part-time consultancy engagement. The Consultant delivers defined written advisory and technical products and works in an expert advisory and technical capacity. In coordination with GHAI's designated Food & Nutrition Policy Program lead, the Consultant will advise partners on Senegal-specific food and nutrition policy priorities and objectives. Areas of focus may include front-of-package labeling, sodium reduction, taxation of sugar-sweetened beverages, marketing restrictions, and other evidence-based food and nutrition policy priorities relevant to the country's context.

The consultant is free to accept and perform work for other clients during the term of this agreement, provided such engagements do not create a conflict of interest with GHAI's mission or the consultant's obligations under this Scope of Work. Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed to GHAI in advance.
