Financial Aid Advisor (Remote)

ATS Institute of Technology is seeking an experienced Financial Aid Advisor to help students understand their funding options and complete the financial aid process. Join a team dedicated to helping future healthcare professionals access the education they need to pursue their careers.

In this fully remote role, you will support students through phone calls, email, and virtual appointments. You will manage an assigned student caseload, explain financial responsibilities clearly, and follow through on outstanding requirements to keep student files moving forward.

This position is a strong fit for someone who combines hands-on student financial aid experience with responsive communication, careful documentation, and the ability to manage daily responsibilities independently.

What You’ll Do:

The Financial Aid Advisor serves as the primary resource for students as they navigate the financial aid process. From assisting with FAFSA applications to building financial estimates and payment plans, you’ll provide personalized advising to help students make informed decisions about their education. You will also ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations while working collaboratively with admissions and student services to create a seamless enrollment and financial aid experience.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Advise Students: Explain financial aid options, FAFSA requirements, grants, scholarships, and student loans.
• Prepare Financial Estimates: Help students understand available funding, out-of-pocket costs, and payment plans.
• Follow Through: Contact students regularly to collect documents, resolve outstanding requirements, and meet deadlines.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Review financial aid information and keep student files complete, organized, and confidential.
• Support Compliance: Apply financial aid regulations and institutional policies in daily advising and documentation.
• Coordinate Across Teams: Partner with admissions and student services to address student needs and support enrollment.
• Support Campus Activities: Present financial aid information at orientations and participate in school events.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in financial aid or finance.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 – $28.00 per hour. Compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the institution, based on institutional needs.
