Partner with clients to deliver Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint system implementations, training, and performance optimization. Manage project activities including budgeting, billing, and identifying opportunities for additional service engagements.
As a Finance Consultant within our Consulting team, you will partner with clients to deliver a range of services, including Vision/Vantagepoint system implementations, consultative training, troubleshooting, and guidance on best practices to optimize system performance. You’ll evaluate client needs, present tailored solutions, and oversee client and project management activities such as budget monitoring, billing, collections, and identifying opportunities for additional services.
This role needs a combination of expertise, leadership, mentoring skills, and business acumen to deliver value to our clients and contribute to the growth and success of our consulting practice.
Our consulting team is structured across multiple career levels, including Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Principal Consultant. We are open to hiring professionals with varying levels of experience and expertise. What you’ll do at SN:

- Provide trusted advisory services and deliver Vision/Vantagepoint implementations
- Maintain accurate project records, coordinate with internal teams, and proactively resolve client issues
- Develop client deliverables that present detailed findings and actionable recommendations
- Oversee project billing, collections, and ensure client satisfaction in line with SN service standards
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagements, including cross-selling services
- Contribute to marketing collateral, user group meetings, and sales support
- Mentor and guide other consultants while ensuring high-quality, on-time, and within-budget delivery
What you may have done before:
- Consulted on Deltek products for external clients
- Consulted or managed Deltek products internally - especially on a Finance team
What it takes to be a Finance Consultant:
- Vantagepoint Accounting or Master Certification required (you can get this during the interview process but it must be completed before we offer)
- Must have experience with:
- Chart of Accounts, GL Accounts and Posting
- Cash Management/Bank Reconciliation
- AP, AR, Time & Expense Entry/Approval
- Billing & Invoice Processing
- Project Budgeting & Revenue Recognition
- Labor Rate/Category Tables
- Financial Reporting/Dashboards (intermediate knowledge)
- Multi-Company (basic knowledge)
- Project Planning integration with Finance (basic knowledge)
- Advanced Revenue Generation Methods (basic knowledge)
- Overhead Allocation
- Intercompany Transactions and Consolidations (basic knowledge)
- Custom Workflows and Approvals (basic knowledge)
- Cross-functional knowledge: at least basic knowledge of Resource Planning/Project Management or CRM
- 5+ years using Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in an AE-industry firm
- 2+ years of consulting experience

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $100,000 - 130,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
