SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Field Partnerships Manager serves as a key bridge between our ministry and partner organizations. This role combines strategic program oversight, rigorous grant management, and relational partnership development. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of partner relationships, ensure programmatic excellence and compliance, and champion the mission and values of both our organization and our partners.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership Development & Management

  • Cultivate and maintain authentic, trust-based relationships with partner organizations and their leadership
  • Conduct partner assessments and due diligence for prospective partnerships
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned portfolio of partners, providing ongoing support and guidance
  • In cooperation with International Field Representatives, make site visits to partner locations to assess programs, build relationships, and provide technical assistance, as needed
  • Facilitate communication between partners and internal stakeholders

Grant Management & Compliance

  • Oversee the full grant lifecycle from application review through closeout for assigned portfolio
  • Review and evaluate grant proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation
  • Monitor grant compliance including financial reporting, programmatic milestones, and contractual obligations
  • Schedule grant disbursements and review grant spending against approved project totals
  • Ensure partners understand and adhere to grant requirements, donor restrictions, and organizational policies
  • Maintain accurate grant files and documentation in compliance with internal and external audit standards

Program Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Review quarterly and annual reports from partners, analyzing both narrative and financial data
  • Identify risks, challenges, or areas requiring intervention and develop appropriate response strategies
  • Work with partners to establish realistic goals, indicators, and evaluation methodologies
  • Compile program data and success stories for internal reporting and donor communications via Confluence

Strategic Planning & Collaboration

  • Contribute to regional or thematic strategy development based on field insights and partner feedback
  • Participate in partner selection processes and portfolio funding allocation decisions
  • Collaborate with fundraising team to connect donors with partner stories and opportunities
  • Coordinate with finance, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless partner support, as needed



REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with diverse organizations and stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management and grant compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to assess both programmatic and financial information
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with grant management software (Salesforce Grants Management) preferred

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in international development, nonprofit management, business administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in grant management, program management, or international development

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position will not have direct reports.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

 

TRAVEL

Some international travel may be required for this position. (Ability to travel internationally 10-25% of the time
