AI Summary

Build and execute field marketing programs and high-quality events to drive pipeline and deepen relationships within priority industries like defense and automotive. Coordinate with Growth and Product Marketing teams to translate strategic account motions into targeted campaigns and customer engagement programs.

About Code Metal

Code Metal is redefining code translation for mission-critical industries, helping defense partners move more quickly and reliably from algorithm to silicon. Our platform accelerates deployment of DSP, RF, communications, and embedded signal processing algorithms onto heterogeneous compute targets, including GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs, and edge SoCs. We also support automotive, aerospace, and semiconductor partners deploying complex algorithms onto constrained hardware with speed and rigor.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Field Marketing Manager to help Code Metal build targeted programs for our most important industries, accounts, customers, and growth opportunities.

You’ll sit at the intersection of marketing, growth, sales ops, and executive leadership, turning priority account and customer motions into field programs, customer engagements, events, and campaigns that create pipeline, deepen relationships, and move strategic opportunities forward.

This role is focused on building the field marketing foundation for Code Metal: translating strategic growth priorities into targeted programs for priority accounts, industries, and customers. That includes executive engagements, customer workshops, industry events, technical briefings, account-based campaigns, and Code Metal-hosted moments.

You’ll support priority industries including automotive, cyber, semiconductors, defense, and other mission-critical markets. The right person is both strategic and highly operational: able to understand a growth priority, identify the right audience, shape the plan, coordinate the assets, manage the activation, and ensure every touchpoint has a clear business purpose.

As an early member of the marketing team, you’ll help build Code Metal’s field marketing function from the ground up. There will be plenty to create, shape, and improve — and not a lot of bureaucracy standing in the way.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and execute field marketing programs for Code Metal’s priority industries, accounts, and customers across automotive, cyber, semiconductors, defense, and other mission-critical markets.

  • Partner closely with Growth to translate strategic account and industry motions into targeted field plans, including event strategy, account-based campaigns, executive touchpoints, customer engagements, and post-event follow-up programs.

  • Own end-to-end field event execution, including planning, timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, registration, staffing, speaker logistics, run-of-show, collateral, lead capture, and post-event follow-up.

  • Ensure every field program and event is well-run, on-brand, and tied to a clear business outcome — whether that is pipeline creation, account progression, customer engagement, executive relationship-building, or market awareness.

  • Develop customer engagement programs that help deepen relationships with existing customers, support expansion opportunities, surface customer insights, and create stronger feedback loops between customers, Growth, Product, and Marketing.

  • Partner closely with Product Marketing to ensure field programs are supported by the right assets, including one-pagers, slides, demos, proof points, technical explainers, customer stories, landing pages, invites, signage, and follow-up materials.

  • Build lightweight, repeatable processes for event planning, campaign intake, prioritization, asset coordination, lead capture, follow-up, measurement, reporting, and field marketing playbooks.

What Success Looks Like Year 1:

  • Code Metal has a clear field marketing strategy aligned to priority industries, target accounts, customer relationships, growth campaigns, event moments, and pipeline goals.

  • Events have become a reliable growth lever for Code Metal, including industry conferences, executive engagements, customer workshops, technical briefings, hosted moments, and strategic account activations.

  • Key field programs are executed with clear goals, strong planning, polished experiences, tight follow-up, and measurable business impact.

  • Strategic campaigns, such as cyber and high-assurance software modernization, have field programs and event moments that support named-account engagement and help move customers from awareness to active conversation.

  • Field programs are contributing to pipeline and customer engagement goals, including sourced pipeline, influenced pipeline, meetings booked, target-account engagement, customer engagement, and opportunity progression.

  • Code Metal has a scalable foundation for field marketing, including event planning playbooks, campaign planning templates, customer engagement processes, budget tracking, vendor systems, lead capture workflows, follow-up standards, and post-campaign reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in field marketing, customer marketing, event, account-based marketing, demand generation, partner marketing, or a related role.

  • A track record of building and executing B2B field marketing programs and high-quality events that support pipeline generation, account progression, and customer engagement.

  • Experience partnering closely with sales, growth, business development, or revenue teams on target-account strategy and campaign execution.

  • Strong event execution experience, including planning, logistics, vendors, budgets, timelines, registration, staffing, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up.

  • Strategic instincts paired with execution chops — you can understand why a campaign or event matters, build the plan, and make sure the details are handled.

  • Comfort working with technical products, complex industries, and sophisticated buyers.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; you can work well with Growth, Sales, Product Marketing, Design, Operations, executives, vendors, and external partners.

  • Ability to define audiences, segment accounts, shape campaign plans, coordinate assets, execute events, and measure impact.

  • Strong taste and attention to detail; you care about how Code Metal shows up in every customer and industry touchpoint.

  • Comfort with ambiguity, high ownership, and building from an early-stage starting point with limited bureaucracy.

  • Experience with field marketing in technical or mission-critical industries is a plus.

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems, marketing automation, event technology, account-based marketing tools, campaign reporting, or pipeline attribution is a plus.

Benefits

  • Health care plan with 100% premium coverage, including medical, dental, and vision

  • 401k with 5% matching
