AI Summary

Own features end-to-end across the travel operations platform, including backend services and frontend components. Integrate external systems like GDS, payments, and communication services while utilizing AI agents to plan and verify code quality.

The Mission

Voyagu is a travel operations platform, a large product that powers travel agencies end to end — trip economics, sales, ticketing, accounting and marketing — with a wide range of integrations with GDS and external services (payments, email, calls/SMS and more). Many kinds of users work inside it, from agents and searchers to back-office teams, and the agencies’ own clients interact with the platform through a separate web interface.

We're hiring a Feature Engineer, who owns features end to end and drives an AI agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) as a daily engineering tool.

The Bet We're Making

We bet on speed of thinking and quality of work with an agent, not years of stack. We want an engineer who, with an AI agent, ships like a stronger engineer — because they lead the agent instead of clicking "accept."

You write a plan, break work into steps, verify each step, reason about the output, and give precise next instructions. You don't trust code you haven't verified. If your style is "generate it and click around the UI until it seems to work," this isn't for you — and vice versa.

You Care Why, Not Just How

You engage with the business problem, not just the ticket. You don't need to know travel — the domain is specific and nobody arrives knowing it. What matters is that you get curious about why a feature exists, who needs it, and what changes once it ships. When a business stakeholder comes to you, that conversation is interesting, not an interruption. That habit is a large part of what we're selecting for.

Tech Stack

  • Backend: Python (SQLAlchemy, GraphQL, PostgreSQL) — complex queries against a rich data model. Writing complex SQL itself is something an agent helps with. The judgment around it is on you.
  • Frontend: Angular — kept deliberately thin, with help available for the harder parts. You don’t need to be a frontend expert, just the kind of person who says “I’ll take the feature,” not “that’s not my layer.”
  • Agent: Claude Code / Cursor / Codex as a normal, daily tool (your choice of agent).

What You'll Do

  • Own features end to end across the platform: economics, sales, ticketing, integrations and more.
  • Build services in Python (SQLAlchemy, GraphQL, PostgreSQL) with correct transactional behavior.
  • Integrate external systems: GDS, payments, email, calls/SMS and other services.
  • Ship the full slice of a feature, including the Angular frontend when it needs it.
  • Work with an AI agent daily — plan, steps, verification — owning quality, not volume of generated lines.
  • Grow scope fast as the team and responsibilities expand.

What We're Looking For

  • Solid backend development experience in Python.
  • Strong understanding of database transactions and data correctness; comfortable with complex queries (mandatory).
  • Real, daily experience working with an AI agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar) — a requirement, not a plus.
  • A disciplined process: planning, step-by-step work, verifying your own code.
  • Genuine interest in the business behind the code — you can explain what problem a feature solved and who it served.
  • Willingness and ability to work across the stack, including frontend. You own features, not layers.
  • English B2+ (working level).

Why Voyagu

  • A large, real product — a travel operations platform with many domains, so you get variety and depth, not one narrow corner.
  • An AI-first engineering culture: the agent is the norm, not a banned tool.
  • Fast-growing responsibility for people who deliver.
  • Fully remote, start ASAP.
