This is a remote position.

Analyse fabric samples
Conduct laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM, ISO, and other international standards.
Reverse engineer textile products and fabrics with a high degree of accuracy.
Generate comprehensive technical specifications and development reports.
Fabric Development & Innovation
Develop new fabric concepts based on customer and market requirements.
Recommend alternative materials, constructions, and finishing techniques to improve performance and cost efficiency.
Research emerging textile technologies, functional finishes, and innovative materials.
Lead fabric development projects from concept to commercialization.
Prepare detailed Tech Packs and technical specification sheets for manufacturing.
Establish quality standards, testing protocols, and product performance benchmarks.
Create development documentation and production guidelines.
Sourcing & Factory Management:
Identify, evaluate, and source suitable textile manufacturers and suppliers locally and internationally.
Communicate technical requirements with factories in Egypt, China, and other global sourcing markets.
Manage sample development, approvals, and production follow-up.
Support supplier qualification and performance evaluation processes.
Monitor sampling and bulk production quality.
Implement and oversee AQL inspection standards.
Ensure product consistency and compliance with technical specifications.
Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Textile R&D, Fabric Development, Material Innovation, or Fabric Technology.
Proven experience in fabric testing, textile laboratory analysis, and product development.
Demonstrated experience in fabric reverse engineering and technical specification development.
Strong understanding of:
Knitted and woven fabric construction
Textile chemistry and finishing processes
Fabric performance testing
ASTM and ISO testing standards
Garment and fabric technical documentation
Ability to independently analyse and replicate fabrics with high-performance matching accuracy.
Experience creating professional Tech Packs and technical specifications.
Strong factory sourcing and supplier management capabilities.
Experience working with international sportswear, underwear, activewear, or performance apparel brands.
