We currently have an exciting opportunity for an External Communications Manager who is experienced in strategic communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement, with a passion for building brand reputation and influence.
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of Seetec's external communications strategy, strengthening our profile across key audiences, markets, and sectors. Playing a pivotal role in shaping and communicating our brand narrative, ensuring a consistent and compelling proposition that reflects our purpose, social impact, and employee-owned identity.
Working as part of the Marketing and Communications team, you will lead strategic communications campaigns, media relations activity, thought leadership programmes, and reputation management initiatives. Using insight and analysis, you will measure impact, increase share of voice, and position Seetec as an authoritative voice on the social and economic issues that matter most to the people and communities we serve.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £48,000 to £50,000 (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

• Lead the development and delivery of Seetec and subsidiary brand narratives, ensuring a consistent proposition across audiences and channels.
• Translate brand narratives into compelling messaging and positioning for different audiences, markets and sectors.
• Embed social impact and employee ownership principles across campaigns and public relations activity.
• Deliver strategic, high-impact communications campaigns that strengthen Seetec's market position and reputation.
• Develop compelling case studies that showcase Seetec's expertise and positive impact.
• Lead crisis communications activity, providing timely, clear and consistent messaging to protect organisational reputation.
• Work with senior leaders to develop thought leadership content and organisational positioning aligned to strategic priorities.
• Translate service outcomes, social value data and business insights into engaging external communications.
• Develop proactive media campaigns and identify opportunities to increase Seetec's visibility across national, regional and sector-specific media.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, industry publications and external influencers.
Essential
• Proven experience in strategic communications, public relations or corporate communications.
• Strong media relations and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Ability to translate complex information, data and business objectives into clear, compelling messaging.
• Experience writing engaging thought leadership content and influential communications.
• Experience using media monitoring platforms and journalist databases for outreach, targeting and coverage reporting.
• Strong understanding of multi-audience communications strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build effective relationships across a complex organisation.
Desirable
• Experience within public services, employability, skills, health or justice sectors.
• Understanding of government policy and commissioning environments.
• Experience communicating social impact, social value or ESG-related activity.
• Experience working within a multi-brand organisation.
