The External Communications Lead will serve as the dedicated PR partner to the CEO, executing strategies to reinforce Karat's position as a leader in technical interviewing. Responsibilities include managing media presence, ghostwriting executive content, and architecting campaigns to elevate the company's thought leadership.

As an External Communications Lead at Karat, you will serve as the dedicated PR and communications partner to our CEO, executing an external communications strategy that reinforces Karat's position as an innovative leader in technical interviewing and workforce intelligence.
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), individual contributor role working closely with Karat’s CEO and other seasoned communications leaders. Working hours/schedule will need to be consistent and overlap with executives in the Greater Seattle Area.
This position is only available to candidates residing in the following U.S. states: CA, D.C., FL, GA, IL, MA, MO, NY, OR, PA, TX, VA, and WA. While our team operates 100% remotely, we are currently limiting hiring to these specific locations. Applications from other states will not be considered at this time.
Compensation Varies by Geographic Location
At Karat, salary ranges for each U.S.-based position are determined by the employee's work location. We structure our compensation into geographic tiers based on market data and regional economic factors.
