Expert Automation QA Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Expert Automation QA Engineer to join our team full-time in Poland.

About the role:

As a Expert Automation QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Project Description: The Client develops advanced software for biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing. We work with leading biopharmaceutical companies and are building a high-quality SaaS platform with a strong focus on usability, reliability, maintainability, and scientific value.

Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for core platform features and workflows
• Perform structured functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across the Insilico Suite
• Validate end-to-end user journeys with strong focus on reliability, usability, and workflow consistency
• Test Automation and Release Confidence:
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for critical user flows, regression coverage, and API behavior
  • Contribute to scalable test automation practices that improve release quality and reduce regression risk
  • Support the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable more reliable and efficient software delivery
• API, Integration, and Data Workflow Testing:
  • Test APIs, service integrations, and backend workflows to ensure correct and reliable system behavior
  • Verify data flows, consistency, and expected system interactions across platform components
  • Work closely with developers to identify root causes of defects and improve product robustness
• Quality Processes and Engineering Collaboration:
  • Help define and improve QA processes, testing standards, and release readiness criteria as development is brought in-house
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and scientific teams to clarify requirements, refine test scenarios, and improve quality across the development lifecycle
  • Document test cases, findings, defects, and recommendations clearly to support transparency and reproducibility

Requirements:

• Strong experience in software quality assurance for modern web-based products or SaaS platforms
• Experience designing and executing functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
• Experience with test automation for UI and/or API testing
• Experience testing APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows
• Familiarity with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of defect tracking, test case design, release validation, and QA best practices
• Programming or scripting skills in Python or JavaScript for test automation and testing utilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate complex workflows systematically

Desirable:

• Experience with tools such as PyTest, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, or similar
• Experience with performance or load testing
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, containers, and modern deployment workflows
• Experience testing data-driven, scientific, or technically complex software products
• Familiarity with testing model-related workflows, analytical pipelines, or computational results in software applications
