This unique *hybrid opportunity* is ideal for a seasoned Special Education Teacher with a strong background in *Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)* and special education evaluations. In this role, you will conduct student evaluations, provide educational expertise, and collaborate with school teams across multiple charter schools to support high-quality special education programming and student success.
You will support approximately *10-12 charter schools* by conducting in-person evaluations, consulting with teachers and administrators, and helping ensure students receive appropriate services and supports. Report writing, virtual meetings, and consultation activities may be completed remotely, offering flexibility while maintaining a meaningful impact on students and school communities.

* *Coverage Area:* Approximately 10-12 Charter Schools

* *Travel:* In-person school visits required for evaluations
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations to support eligibility determinations and educational planning.
* Evaluate students with a variety of learning, developmental, and behavioral needs, including students with *Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)*.
* Complete evaluation reports and documentation in accordance with state and federal special education requirements.
* Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
* Consult with teachers, administrators, and special education staff regarding student needs, programming, accommodations, and interventions.
* Provide guidance on evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support student success.
* Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to develop effective educational recommendations.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education timelines and regulations.
* Support charter school teams in implementing best practices for students with disabilities.
*Qualifications:*
* *Minnesota Special Education Teaching license*
* *10+ years of Special Education experience strongly preferred*
* *Extensive experience supporting and evaluating students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)*
* Experience conducting special education evaluations and writing comprehensive evaluation reports
* Strong knowledge of special education eligibility, IEP development, and state and federal compliance requirements
* Ability to consult effectively with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
* Excellent written communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
* Ability to travel to multiple school sites throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area
