We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Property TPA Examiner to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a seasoned claims professional with strong coverage analysis skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage a diverse property claim inventory.
 
The successful candidate will bring a minimum of three (3) years of property claims adjusting experience and possess an active independent adjuster license, along with the competence and expertise to handle claims with minimal supervision while maintaining high service standards for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
·         Independently investigate, evaluate, and adjust first-party property claims in accordance with policy provisions, state requirements, and client standards
·         Perform thorough coverage analysis and properly apply policy language/coverage
·         Evaluate damage estimates and valuations, IA & expert reports, and other supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
·         Set, monitor and adjust indemnity & expense reserves throughout the claims cycle
·         Maintain accurately dated, well-documented claim files, including appropriate file notes.
·         Prepare well-reasoned and defensible coverage position letters, including Reservation of Rights, formal Request for Information, and declination (partial & full) letters
·         Self-manage diary and workload to consistently meet or exceed client service level agreements
·         Communicate/interact both professionally and effectively with insureds, contractors, experts, public adjusters, attorneys, and carrier clients
·         Provide timely claim referrals & updates with strategic recommendations to clients
·         Bill for time expended adjusting losses
Qualifications
·         Minimum of 3 years of property claims handling experience (TPA and field – other than solely CAT – experience preferred)
·         Active adjuster license required (multi-state licensing a plus)
·         Strong background in property policy interpretation and coverage determinations
·         Experience adjusting both residential and commercial property losses
·         Ability to manage claims independently and exercise sound professional judgment
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
·         Proficiency in claims management systems; Xactimate experience also preferred
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
