The Hill Community Development Corporation invites proposals from qualified executive search firms to lead a national search for a Senior Administrative Officer & Chief of Staff.
As Hill CDC continues to expand its real estate portfolio, policy influence, economic impact, cultural preservation initiatives, and institutional partnerships, we are strengthening our executive leadership structure to ensure disciplined execution and long-term sustainability.
The Senior Administrative Officer & Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner to the President and CEO and as a senior member of executive leadership. This individual will support governance, administrative and operational alignment, cross-departmental performance and delivery, and strategic initiatives.
We are seeking an executive search firm with demonstrated experience recruiting senior leaders within nonprofit, community development, urban policy, or mission-driven real estate environments. Experience placing executive-level integrators, chiefs of staff, administrative and operational executives, or deputy leaders is strongly preferred.
Scope of Services
The selected firm will:
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to refine the leadership profile
  • Develop recruitment and outreach strategy
  • Market the opportunity nationally and regionally
  • Identify, vet, and present a diverse and highly qualified candidate slate
  • Manage interview process and candidate assessment
  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • Assist with offer negotiation, hiring and transition planning

The firm should demonstrate a clear commitment to inclusive recruitment practices and experience sourcing candidates with executive-level judgment and operational depth.
