We are seeking an experienced Ethics & Compliance Counsel to join our global compliance organization. This role will play a critical part in advancing a culture of integrity and ethical business conduct across the enterprise.

The Ethics & Compliance Counsel will partner closely with Human Resources, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, and business leaders to develop, implement, and continuously enhance the company's ethics and compliance framework. This highly collaborative position requires strong legal judgment, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company's conflict of interest program, including conducting reviews, developing mitigation plans, and advising employees and leaders on potential conflict matters.

  • Provide legal counsel and practical guidance on ethics, compliance, anti-bribery, and corporate conduct issues.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on ethics and compliance policies, procedures, and employee inquiries.

  • Manage the Ethics Help Line and Ethics Office mailbox, ensuring timely review and resolution of reported concerns.

  • Conduct or oversee internal ethics and compliance investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions where needed.

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain ethics and compliance training programs, awareness campaigns, and communications.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify compliance risks and support effective mitigation strategies.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of ethics and compliance policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Monitor emerging regulatory and compliance developments and provide recommendations regarding potential impacts to the organization.

  • Manage outside counsel and other external resources on sensitive or specialized matters, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

  • 5+ years of legal experience, including at least 1 year of direct ethics and compliance experience, within a multinational company, law firm, or government agency.

  • Experience supporting ethics and compliance programs, including areas such as conflicts of interest, code of conduct, ethics investigations, anti-bribery compliance, ethics reporting, or related corporate compliance initiatives.

  • Experience advising publicly traded companies preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage sensitive and confidential matters with sound judgment and discretion.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with employees and leaders across all levels of an organization.

  • Strong presentation and training facilitation skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.

  • Experience working in complex, highly matrixed organizations.

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

  • Ability to identify legal and compliance risks and develop practical, business-focused solutions.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing demands, and drive initiatives to completion.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 132,700 - 221,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
