About the Company
We're a growing Australian construction subcontracting business specialising in wall and floor tiling, waterproofing, screeding, floor preparation, and residential & commercial flooring.
We're looking for a technically capable, highly organised Estimator, Quantity Surveyor & Project Support Coordinator to manage take-offs, tendering, and project coordination while communicating professionally with Australian builders, architects, suppliers, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Quantity Surveying
- Review architectural, structural, and construction drawings
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Measure tiling, flooring, waterproofing, screeding, and substrate preparation works
- Calculate material quantities, wastage, and pricing
- Identify drawing conflicts, scope gaps, risks, and variations
Tendering & Bid Coordination
- Prepare compliant tender submissions and pricing schedules
- Review tender documents, RFIs, RFQs, and addenda
- Maintain tender registers and submission deadlines
- Prepare exclusions, qualifications, and value engineering options
Project & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with builders, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Issue RFIs and request missing documentation
- Coordinate supplier quotations and compare pricing
- Attend online meetings and maintain project documentation
Cost Control & Documentation
- Prepare quotations and variation pricing
- Maintain project folders, drawing registers, and reporting templates
- Assist with progress claims and budget tracking
- Support capability statements, project profiles, and prequalification submissions

What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience
- Previous experience in estimating, quantity surveying, tendering, or project coordination.
- Experience within tiling, flooring, waterproofing, fit-out, or finishing trades is highly preferred.
Skills
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, elevations, specifications, and finishes schedules.
- Strong understanding of Australian construction terminology and tender processes.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify project risks and scope gaps.
- Comfortable working under tender deadlines and managing multiple projects.
- Looking to grow into a long-term senior member of the team.
