ESC Quality Control Supervisor (Master Electrician)

SpartanX is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to lead the technical operations of our Electrical Service Center (ESC).

This is not a traditional Quality Control role. We're looking for an electrical expert who can anticipate installation challenges, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, support field teams, and provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a residential solar project.

As the ESC Quality Control Supervisor, you'll oversee a team responsible for reviewing projects, identifying potential issues before installation, supporting active installations, and helping resolve post-installation electrical concerns. Your expertise will directly improve installation quality, reduce costly rework, and ensure our projects are completed safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership

• Serve as the electrical subject matter expert for residential solar operations
• Lead the Electrical Service Center (ESC) Quality Control team
• Review residential solar projects for electrical accuracy, code compliance, and installation readiness
• Identify electrical concerns before projects reach the field
• Develop solutions that prevent installation delays and costly rework
• Provide technical guidance to field electricians, installers, project managers, and operations teams

Installation & Post-Installation Support

• Assist field teams with complex electrical troubleshooting during installation
• Diagnose and resolve post-installation electrical issues
• Review photos, documentation, and field notes to determine corrective actions
• Recommend code-compliant solutions for unique installation challenges
• Partner with Engineering and Operations to resolve technical issues quickly

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and maintain electrical quality standards
• Develop quality control procedures and best practices
• Identify recurring installation issues and implement corrective actions
• Track trends and recommend process improvements
• Assist in developing training materials for electricians and field personnel
• Mentor and coach the ESC Quality Control team

What We're Looking For

• Current Master Electrician license required
• Extensive residential electrical experience
• Strong understanding of residential solar systems and installation practices
• Expert knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Experience troubleshooting residential electrical systems
• Strong understanding of load calculations, service upgrades, interconnections, and electrical equipment
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable supporting remote field teams across multiple states
• Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Residential solar installation experience
• NABCEP certification is a plus
• Experience supporting multi-state operations
• Previous experience leading remote technical or quality teams
