Enterprise Integration AI Architect

This is a remote position.

We are seeking an Enterprise Integration & AI Platform Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of two interconnected platforms for a Wealth Management client which involves an IPaaS, cloud native, event driven integration platform on Azure connecting Salesforce, Orion, Addepar, Schwab, and Fidelity; and the AIA Workbench, an AI driven / designed data intelligence platform built on Snowflake with an inference and recommendation engine.

This role requires someone who can combine cloud platform architecture with AI system design, translate complex integration and data requirements into scalable production systems, and lead both technical delivery and stakeholder engagement across engineering and business teams.

Integration Platform Architecture

•         Design and govern the end-to-end iPaaS architecture on Azure — Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, Azure Container Apps, AKS with KEDA — ensuring consistency and scalability across ingestion, processing, and delivery layers.

•         Architect event-driven integration patterns including publish/subscribe, dead-letter processing, replay mechanisms, correlation-based tracing, and idempotency guards.

•         Design Azure API Management (APIM) as the centralized API gateway with rate limiting, circuit breaker patterns, and API lifecycle governance.

•         Design integration patterns for Salesforce, Orion, Addepar, Schwab, and Fidelity, and build metadata-driven routing and transformation frameworks.

AI Platform & Data Intelligence

•         Architect the AIA Workbench, an AI-powered source-to-target mapping platform with natural language query generation and reverse-engineering capabilities.

•         Design the FIR system (Feedback, Inference, Recommendation) — a self-improving AI loop that captures user corrections, infers patterns from data, and generates increasingly accurate recommendations.

•         Define the Inference Engine's core questions for evaluating table and attribute identity, criticality, relationships, and usage patterns.

•         Architect the Snowflake semantic layer and Cortex RAG memory engine, and design agent orchestration with tool and agent registries.

Governance & Security

•         Establish data and platform governance standards including metadata management, observability, and audit trail strategies across Cosmos DB and the integration layer.

•         Define API security standards — OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, Managed Identity, Azure Key Vault — and enforce encryption, RBAC, and PII/PHI handling policies.

•         Ensure architecture decisions comply with relevant regulatory and enterprise security requirements for financial services data.

Collaboration & Leadership

•         Lead architecture workshops, design reviews, and whiteboarding sessions with client and engineering teams, producing documentation consumable by both technical and business stakeholders.

•         Define technology roadmaps, SoW phase structures, effort estimates, and delivery scheduling.

•         Mentor engineering teams (3 backend, 2 frontend) and review solution designs, establishing a culture of design rigor and platform thinking.

•         Present architecture decisions and program updates to executive stakeholders.

•         Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

•         10+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Cloud Platform Architecture.

•         5+ years designing and delivering Azure-based cloud-native integration or data platforms — not just consuming them.

•         Hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered tools or platforms, including LLM orchestration or RAG-based systems.

•         Strong proficiency in Python, including production experience with structured logging, decorators, and service-oriented design.

•         Experience with financial services, wealth management, or other regulated industries.

•         Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce architecture documents, low-level designs, and SoWs, and present to executive stakeholders.

•         Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.

•         Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).

•         SnowPro Core Certification or hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex.

•         Experience with Salesforce Platform Events and Apex integrations.

•         Background in data migration, ETL, or mapping platform design.

•         Familiarity with TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks.

•         Excellent facilitation skills; track record of influencing cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
