Job Description:

The Enterprise Data & BI Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining reporting solutions across key enterprise systems, including HubSpot, Workday, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power BI. This role will help ensure data moves accurately and efficiently between business systems and is available for reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.  

 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical problem solver with experience working across APIs, databases, business systems, data pipelines, and BI tools. This is an individual contributor role focused on improving data reliability, reducing manual reporting, supporting system interoperability, and building trusted business intelligence assets.

SALARY

$110,000+, depending on experience, in addition to bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN 

  • BI reporting and analytics enablement - Build trusted reports, dashboards, datasets, and metric definitions to support business decision-making. 

  • Data quality and documentation - Ensure integrated data is accurate, consistent, well-documented, and fit for operational and reporting use. 

  • Process improvement and automation - Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through better data workflows, automation, and reporting infrastructure. 

  • Enterprise system data feeds - Build and maintain reliable data flows between systems such as HubSpot, Workday, Microsoft tools, and other business platforms. 

  • Data integration and interoperability - Support secure, accurate, and scalable movement of data across applications, databases, APIs, and reporting tools. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO   

BI Reporting & Dashboard Development 

  • Build and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models that support business reporting needs 

  • Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs, business logic, and metric definitions 

  • Translate business questions into scalable, repeatable reporting solutions 

  • Improve existing manual reports by automating data refreshes, standardizing logic, and reducing spreadsheet dependency 

  • Ensure BI assets are accurate, user-friendly, well-documented, and aligned with business needs 

Data Modeling & Data Quality 

  • Create and maintain data models that support reporting, analytics, and operational workflows 

  • Implement checks and validation processes to monitor data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems 

  • Reconcile data between source systems and reporting outputs to identify and resolve discrepancies 

  • Maintain clear documentation for datasets, fields, reporting logic, transformations, and ownership 

  • Support consistent data definitions across departments and systems 

Automation & Process Improvement 

  • Identify manual data processes that can be improved through automation, better integrations, or standardized reporting 

  • Build lightweight automation workflows using available tools such as Power Automate, APIs, SQL, Python, or approved integration platforms 

  • Improve data refresh processes, reporting turnaround time, and stakeholder self-service access to trusted data 

  • Support handoff, training, and documentation for new reports, data feeds, and workflows 

  • Stay current on relevant tools and capabilities within the Microsoft, HubSpot, and Workday ecosystems 

Data Integration 

  • Design, build, test, and maintain data feeds between HubSpot, Workday, Microsoft systems, and other enterprise platforms 

  • Develop and support integrations using APIs, connectors, middleware, ETL/ELT tools, or automation platforms 

  • Troubleshoot data flow issues, integration failures, field mapping discrepancies, and system sync problems 

  • Partner with business system owners to understand source system structures, data definitions, and integration requirements 

  • Document integration logic, data mappings, dependencies, schedules, and support processes 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, analytics engineering, systems integration, business systems, or a related technical role 

  • Experience building or supporting data feeds, integrations, APIs, ETL/ELT workflows, or automated data processes 

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases, data warehouses, or reporting datasets 

  • Experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, or semantic models 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft data and productivity tools, such as Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, or similar 

  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as HubSpot, Workday, CRM, HRIS, ERP, or finance systems 

  • Ability to understand business processes and translate reporting or integration needs into technical solutions 

  • Strong attention to detail and experience validating, reconciling, and troubleshooting data across systems 

  • Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills 

  • Experience with Python, Power Automate, Azure Data Factory, APIs, middleware, or integration platforms is a plus 

  • Experience supporting data and reporting for professional services industry preferred.
