Job Description:

GDIT's Federal Health Division is hiring an Engineering Deployment Site Practitioner to support the full lifecycle of the Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across multiple medical centers.

  • Work Location: Remote with semi frequent travel to client sites

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Performing/organizing discovery efforts at various hospitals & clinics (i.e. sites) related to End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, & Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO) and will then perform post discovery analysis to inform technical scope and requirements.
  • Building an understanding of the client's list of standard capabilities, devices, and interfaces is essential to perform meaningful discovery and gap analysis.
  • Support device procurement tracking & logistics, own relationships with local site IT leaders and other technology / network / engineering groups, and overall support the technical readiness of a transition to a new EHR. This may involve external vendor management/coordination, cutover planning & support, project management of engineering activities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED (required):

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of progressive experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required, as is a proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

WHAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER (highly preferred):

  • Experience with Oracle Health EHR (or similar EHR vendor platforms)
  • Experience supporting the VA EHRM.

The likely salary range for this position is $107,100 - $144,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
