Engineer Lead, Software

Job Description:

Nature of work: 
1.         Contribute to Scrum Team as Dev
2.         Responsibilities includes:
a.         Work within the team as well as work with various stakeholders including clients, global teams geographically located in different regions 
b.         Build an understanding of the product on a technical and functional level, understand the context of our clients, drive testing activities, and develop and deliver solutions that address the business needs
c.         Work with the Project Manager, Business Analyst as well as with experienced people in team to understand projects requirements, identify requirement gaps, functional risks so that these can be addressed early in the process. 
d.         Work closely with other team members like Developers, BAs in a team to ensure better turnaround for issue resolution and change implementation
e.         Ensure quality of newly build or enhanced features and regression test to make sure nothing is broken
f.          Automation of redundant manual tasks using innovative ideas
g.      Should be proficient in Java full stack, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Oracle and Database tools.

Job Description Summary

Need strong knowledge of Java full stack, Oracle and Database tools. Elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate business/user requirements for processes, policies, and information systems. Translate business needs/end-user requirements into functional specifications that describe what the system, process or product/service must do to fulfil the end-user/business requirements.
Perform activities required to maintain a high level of availability and stability for one or more applications including change deployment and certification, application performance, application management and development support. Knowledge/Development experience of Investment Banking product will be added advantage. Develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identifies client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Trains and communicates with clients on systems application.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with clients and teams to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs.
• Clearly articulate and document business requirements and translate it into functional specifications.

• Provide analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.

• Develop strong partnerships with clients that focus on being a trusted advisor.
• Work with Project Managers, Architects, Developers, and other team members to design/develop solutions.

• Participate in Functionality Testing, Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing, document test cases and results.
• Follow change management process regarding change deployment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of financial services industry.

• Proven delivery track record of working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., Agile, iterative and other modern approaches to software development.

• Proficiency in solutions design/develop and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.

• Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Knowledge of methods, tools and technology used in software development

• Knowledge of capital markets, financial software and related middle office processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives within assigned time.

• Knowledge of CI and CD tools like Jenkins/Team City and GIT.

• Knowledge/Development experience of Investment Banking product

• Need strong knowledge of Java full stack , Oracle and Database tools

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
