What You Will Do

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and scale enterprise AI capabilities.

This role will focus on developing production-grade solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent agents, enterprise knowledge, and modern software engineering practices. The AI Engineer will work across AI, software engineering, data, product, and enterprise systems to turn emerging technologies into reliable solutions that solve real business and engineering problems.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building, experimenting, solving complex technical problems, and taking solutions from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade AI applications and services
  • Develop LLM-powered applications, intelligent agents, and agentic workflows
  • Build and improve retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems
  • Integrate AI applications with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, tools, and knowledge sources
  • Develop reusable AI services, APIs, components, and frameworks
  • Implement tool calling and multi-step workflows that enable AI systems to complete complex tasks
  • Improve semantic search, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and contextual grounding
  • Apply prompt engineering and context engineering techniques to improve AI system performance
  • Develop evaluation methods to measure accuracy, relevance, groundedness, reliability, latency, and user experience
  • Identify and mitigate hallucinations, retrieval failures, and other common AI system failure modes
  • Prototype and evaluate emerging AI technologies for enterprise use
  • Contribute to AI observability, monitoring, testing, security, governance, and responsible AI practices
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and agile development activities
  • Partner with product teams, business stakeholders, engineers, and subject-matter experts to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline

  • Experience programming in Python
  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, APIs, testing, object-oriented programming, and version control
  • Foundational understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and generative AI concepts
  • Experience with Git or similar version-control technologies

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
  • Experience building applications using large language models
  • Experience working with platforms or APIs such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar technologies
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation architectures
  • Experience with embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, hybrid search, or information retrieval
  • AI agents, tool/function calling, multi-agent systems, or agentic workflows
  • Frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies
  • Experience developing REST APIs or backend services using FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks
  • SQL, NoSQL, graph databases, and vector databases
  • Cloud development, particularly within Microsoft Azure
  • Docker, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Microservices and distributed application architectures
  • Knowledge graphs, ontologies, graph-based retrieval, or enterprise knowledge systems
  • AI evaluation frameworks, observability, guardrails, and responsible AI
  • Front-end or full-stack application development
  • Experience building AI solutions through professional work, internships, academic projects, hackathons, research, or open-source contribution
