Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with direct experience in energetics manufacturing to support the design of complex manufacturing facilities involving hazardous materials and specialized production processes. This role focuses on defining and integrating the overall manufacturing process from early feasibility through detailed design, procurement, construction support, and commissioning. This is a remote role, but we would prefer a person to be located in Texas.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and integrate the overall energetics manufacturing process.
• Establish process design criteria, production requirements, operating assumptions, and material and utility balances.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, equipment lists, data sheets, and control narratives.
• Evaluate manufacturing technologies, batch operations, equipment, and material-handling methods.
• Integrate production operations, utilities, controls, safety systems, and waste systems into the facility design.
• Identify technical gaps, design risks, and process-development requirements.
• Incorporate process safety, segregation, containment, ventilation, and hazardous-material handling requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, technology specialists, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Support feasibility studies, equipment selection, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Provide technical guidance to process engineers and designers supporting the project.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 8+ years of relevant process engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience in energetics manufacturing or closely related high-hazard manufacturing.
• Experience developing or integrating the overall process design for a manufacturing facility.
• Strong experience with batch processing, hazardous-material handling, process safety, and specialized material-handling systems.
• Experience developing heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and utility requirements.
• Ability to establish a process design basis and advance the design when technical information is incomplete.
• Experience coordinating process requirements across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Strong analytical, technical leadership, and communication skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience supporting greenfield energetics or defense-manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with feasibility studies, conceptual design, Pre-FEED, FEED, or detailed design.
• Experience integrating specialized or proprietary manufacturing technologies into a complete facility design.
• Experience with manufacturing scale-up, technology transfer, commissioning, or startup.
• EPC or engineering consulting experience.
• PE license or progress toward licensure.

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
