Position Summary:  

This course explores the ways that social media influences approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment. Through theoretical inquiry students engage with social media and digital tools to explore the ethical considerations, and various strategies to develop critical thinking. Emphasizing inclusivity and equity, the course examines social media’s influence on social, cultural, and environmental impacts. 

As an online course, the content and syllabus has already been created for the course. 

Qualifications – Required Academic Degree: Master’s degree in Education; post-secondary teaching experience in digital tools in education; teaching experience in an online environment; K-12 experience in educational contexts in social media and digital tools.

This appointment is in accordance with the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement, for which the Wilfrid Laurier Faculty Association (WLUFA) is the exclusive bargaining agent.
