E-commerce Specialist – Shopify

Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support a growing Australian business. The role will initially focus on maintaining and updating the Shopify website, ensuring product information and pricing are accurate, and assisting with customer enquiries and day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, take ownership of their work, and be able to work independently. As the business continues to grow, the role and responsibilities will expand, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow with the business and become a valued member of the team.

Key Tasks:

• Complete and maintain the Shopify website.
• Upload new products, images, specifications and manuals.
• Ensure all product information is accurate and up to date.
• Conduct monthly price reviews to ensure our pricing remains competitive.
• Monitor competitor pricing and identify pricing opportunities.
• Research competitors and identify pricing or product opportunities.
• Assist with replying to customer emails and enquiries.
• Process customer orders and coordinate freight.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding products, pricing and availability.
• Assist with creating marketing campaigns and promotional material.
• Update website banners, featured products and seasonal promotions.
• Assist with social media content creation, scheduling and engagement as the business grows.
• Support new business initiatives and process improvements.
• Provide general administrative support to the Business Owner.

Required Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Shopify experience (preferred).
• E-commerce administration experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience managing product listings and online stores.
• Google Suites
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Marketing and content creation experience.
• Social media management experience (preferred).
• Research and competitor analysis skills.
• Problem-solving and proactive mindset.

Experience:

• 2+ years in administration, e-commerce, virtual assistance or a similar role. Experience with Shopify and

online retail is highly regarded.
